Fireworks instructors were out in full force, schmoozing and promoting excellence in fire service training, at the Fire Chiefs Association of BC trade show and conference held in Vernon, BC.
The relatively new trend of greater mobility in the senior ranks of officers resulted in this photo of men who were all colleagues as young firefighters and officers with Vancouver Fire and Rescue. They are now, from left to right:
Jack Blair, just retired from Vernon Fire and Rescue, Wayne Humphry, founder of Fireworks Consulting, Chief Tim Armstrong of New Westminster, Chaplain Bruce Rushton, Randy Hebenton, instructor with Fireworks Consulting, John McKearney, soon to be retired from Vancouver Fire and Rescue, and Chief Wade Pierlot, Coquitlam.
The conferences and trade shows are particularly great for reconnecting with old friends and colleagues.
